    Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Rashid, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, said that the Eastern Province has become a main center for the development of small and medium enterprises SMEs in the Kingdom.This was during the meeting of Saudi businessmen with a French delegation that was hosted in Khobar recently.
     
    The delegation specializes in; oil and gas equipment, petrochemicals and services, engineering, logistics, construction, marine services, maintenance, technical assistance and electric appliances.
     Al Rashid explained During the meeting, which was attended by Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, the French Ambassador to the KingdomBertrand Besancenot, vice president of new business development at Saudi Aramco Mutasim bin Mohammed Al Mashooq and head of the delegation Michel Jilin, that more than half of the industrial investments in the Kingdom are located in the Eastern Province as international companies specializing in oil and gas operate there. In addition, Eastern Province has offered valuable opportunities for small and medium-sized companies to provide their needs, pointing out the efforts of Saudi Aramco to support SMEs and the overall development of industries in the Kingdom
